How much will it cost for
a 30-45 minute show? |
|
First of all, 30-45 minutes is too long! The biggest
shows I have ever seen or been a part of ran 20-25 minutes. I
would much rather shoot a good, fast paced, quality 15-20 minutes
show than a slow drawn out 30 minutes show. Your viewers will
appreciate it too. |

How much does a show cost? |
|
Show cost will depend on the customers wants. Kuhn Fireworks
does not tell its customers how much to spend but instead will
make suggestions after asking the customer numerous questions
to find out exactly what they are looking for. Kuhn Fireworks
can do shows as small as $2,000.00 or as large as $100,000.00. Ultimately,
everyone has a dollar budget to work with and Kuhn Fireworks
will give you the best show we can for that dollar amount. |
|
Do you light the shells by hand? |
|
No, every show is fired electronically. |
|
Do you shoot one shell at a time? |
|
Yes, but we also like to mix in a lot of multiple shots
where we can fire 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 12 shells at a time to light
up the sky. We do not like a slow, boring show! |
|
How much does a shell cost? |
| |
Anywhere from $3.00 to $300.00! There are different levels
of fireworks quality from different factories that determine
the cost. It is a beautiful, bright color? Does it burn out quickly
or does it last a long time? It is just one color, or does it
change colors and spin and whistle, etc. These will all determine
cost. The same size shell for example, could cost $10.00
- $50.00, depending on the quality and what the shell does. Kuhn
Fireworks does not use the "Cheapest" shells just to
try and give our customers a larger number of shells for their
show. |
|
Why do a lot of the shells look the same? |
| |
Some fireworks companies will feature shells that they
can get a good price on from one factory. The problem is there
are a limited number of colors and effects from that one factory.
An average Kuhn Fireworks display would feature shells from 8-10
different factories; giving you a tremendous variety of color
and effects. |
|
We need a
bid or proposal from you. How do we compare bids? |
| |
Make sure
you are comparing Apples to Apples! Ask each company to list exactly what
size of shells and the quantity they plan to use. Make sure
the company separates the Aerial Shells ranging from 3" to
12", from the multiple shot box's or "Cakes," as
we call them. The shells in these "cakes" are usually
1/2" to 1 1/2 in diameter, and each "Cake" could
hold anywhere from 25 to 300 of these small shells in them.
When these "Cakes" are included as "Aerial Shells" in
the proposal it will greatly inflates the shell numbers.
Some shells have multiple effects, or multiple
smaller shells inside a larger shells, or it has a rising comet
trail. Each of these types should be counted as only ONE Shell! |
|
How do we
know we will get what you said we would in the proposal? |
| |
Come out
to the shoot site! Hang around; asked questions; count the
shells. It's your money and your show!
Kuhn Fireworks welcomes a visit from our
sponsors. We like to show them around the shoot site and tell
them how we are going to shoot the show and what is in each
location. |
